I have read many books in my years. I don’t think any have come close to Wicked Greed. While I do not entirely agree with the way the dialogue is written throughout the book, the author’s choice of words and settings had me floored. In the early stages of the book, characters seemed to pop out of nowhere and I thought, oh no. I was afraid I couldn’t keep up.
But before you get to halfway of the story, John W. Mefford takes you on an adventure like no other. I have read three books in the Greed series the author has just released, this is my favourite. It is raw and has a certain edge to it the other two books did not have.
It was easy for the reader to form personal relationships with the characters and every single detail was thought of and brought to the reader’s attention - smell, food, drink, touch, behaviour - nothing was missed. Expertly done and highly recommended.
