Collapse by Richard Stephenson

Collapse (New America, #1)Collapse by Richard Stephenson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What I didn't like –
I thought the beginning was very slow. Would have like something big instead of just dull writing

Did you find that the cover and title represented what the story was really about? How so or how not?
The title was a good fit. It describes our world falling apart, as we know it. It shows how we must adapt, if survival is the only thing that really matters. We can and do become different people

What did you think of the story structure with the past revealed in short chunks? Did you find it effective?
I would rather a book be a straight forth read. Somewhat annoying with all the jumping back and forth.

Secondary characters play an important role in this book. Which secondary character resonated most with you and why?
Really liked Richard. His life completely changed many times. He was a good strong man that was placed in unspeakable circumstance. He fought for his country and lost his family. His entire world was turned upside down. In addition, the system failed him. In the end, he survived against all odds. Liked William Sanderson. He had it all. Great family great education, great life. Had to leave everything to try to allow his family and himself to survive.
